Our tips

  • Start free at Strijp-S Ketelhuisplein, Area 51 and VEEM floor 8 (Manifestations) are free, and three of the eight big installations stand at Strijp-S. You can spend a full afternoon there before deciding on a ticket.
  • Swap your e-ticket for a wristband Your online ticket has to be exchanged for a personal wristband at a DDW ticket sales location before you can enter ticketed venues. Do it at your first stop.
  • Walk the city-centre installations Markt, Stadhuisplein, 18 Septemberplein, Demer and Nieuwe Emmasingel each have a free installation, all within a short walk of Eindhoven Centraal.
  • Pick a route DDW publishes 16 routes, from mission themes to the Dezeen and VPRO Gids tours (about 2.5 hours each) and junior routes for 6 to 14 and 14+.
  • Weekday afternoons are for exhibitions On Mission Days (19 to 23 October) no events are scheduled between 12:30 and 16:00, so that is the time to visit exhibitions and tours.
  • Some venues charge per visit The ticket page lists Kazerne (EUR 5), Dutch Invertuals (EUR 5), New Order of Fashion Lab (EUR 2.50) and Philips Museum (EUR 13.50) per visit under the no-ticket column. Check at the door.
  • Get the app The official Dutch Design Week app (Android and iOS) has the programme, map and routes.
